In a post on social media platform ‘X’, Kamath mentioned, “I suddenly experienced a mild stroke about six weeks ago. This was due to my father’s demise, lack of adequate sleep, fatigue, dehydration, and possibly overwork.”

After the stroke, he noticed that his face was slightly drooping on one side, and he experienced difficulty in reading and writing. He also expressed hope of fully recovering within three to six months.

Kamath said, “My face was drooping on one side, and I couldn’t read or write. But now, the drooping has reduced, and I can read and write. Instead of completely losing hope, I’m now being a bit cautious. So, I may not fully recover within three to six months. However, Nithin expressed wonder at how a person who is vigilant and aware about their health can experience a stroke.”

Nithin said, “According to doctors, it is important for you to know when to reduce or increase your work-related busyness.”
Nithin had founded Zerodha, a successful brokerage platform, along with his brother Nikhil Kamath. This venture has propelled them swiftly towards success. In December 2023, Nithin Kamath will be appointed as a non-official member of the reconstituted National Startup Advisory Council. He has been nominated as a member of the Advisory Council.
