MP Derek O’Brien remark on Sunday that the Trinamool Congress is still part of the Opposition’s INDIA bloc, despite rumors of disagreements within the alliance. The Mamata Banerjee-led party also announced its list of candidates for all 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal.

Derek O’Brien remark at a big INDIA bloc rally in Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, that the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has always been and will continue to be part of the INDIA alliance. He also mentioned that it’s a battle between the BJP and democracy.”

Derek O’Brien remark:– The party replaced five of its current Lok Sabha members. Mamata Banerjee, who is the chief minister of West Bengal and the party leader, chose several new candidates. One of them is former cricketer Yusuf Pathan, who will run for the Baharampur constituency. This seat has been held by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the state Congress chief and a five-time parliament member, since 1999.

Back then, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury complained about the TMC leader and West Bengal chief minister. He said Mamata Banerjee’s decision to announce all candidates from West Bengal shows that she cannot be trusted by any political leader or party. He also mentioned that this list tells the prime minister’s office that she is not aligned with the INDIA bloc.

Derek O’Brien remark:- At Sunday’s rally, Derek O’Brien criticized the BJP government led by Narendra Modi. He said that the promises made by the prime minister have no guarantee.

Derek O’Brien remark:– “He said, ‘Modi’s promises don’t come with any assurance! There’s no assurance when it comes to increasing prices, creating jobs, and safeguarding India’s institutions.’

He also mentioned the 2019 Pulwama attack, saying that former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik publicly stated that “Narendra Modi didn’t want the truth to be revealed.”
Derek O’Brien asked, “What was Narendra Modi trying to keep secret? Why did he play dirty politics and chase votes when our soldiers gave their lives?”
He also said, “We want the truth to be revealed to respect our soldiers. We demand a detailed report!”
During the rally, TMC MP Sagarika Ghose also repeated the party’s backing for the INDIA group.
