Delaporte resigns as ceo :- Wipro’s CEO and managing director, Thierry Delaporte, quit his job on April 6, according to the company’s announcement on Saturday. Srinivas Pallia, who has been with the company for a long time, is now the new CEO and managing director.

“Wipro said Delaporte will officially leave the company at the end of business hours on May 31.”
Pallia has worked at Wipro for more than thirty years. He was recently the CEO for Americas 1, which is Wipro’s largest and quickest growing market. In this job, he led different industry areas, set their goals, and made plans for growth, making them more successful in their markets. Pallia is also on Wipro’s executive board.

In January, when investors and shareholders were worried about how Wipro was doing, chairman Rishad Premji said that he and the board trusted Delaporte.
“I want to thank Thierry for leading Wipro. The changes he made have made us ready for the future. We’ve improved how we’re organized, made our leadership stronger, focused on partnerships, and become more efficient,” said chairman Rishad Premji on Saturday.
In his resignation letter, Delaporte said it was a great honor to help Wipro grow and succeed. He mentioned that during his time as CEO and MD, Wipro changed a lot, not just making more money but also helping employees, clients, and shareholders.
In just 2023, more than 10 top leaders left the company, including chief growth officer Stephanie Trautman and chief financial officer Jatin Dalal.

In the three months from October to December, Wipro’s profit went down by 12% compared to the same time last year, reaching Rs 2,694 crore. This is the fourth quarter in a row where profit has gone down.
The company changed its prediction for how much money it would make in the January-March quarter, making it lower and higher. Before, it said the revenue would go down by 3.5% to 1.5%, but now it’s saying it will go down by 1.5% to up by 0.5%.
