Apple fire 600 employees:- While other tech companies were letting go of employees over the last two years, Apple didn’t do the same.

Apple fire 600 employees- Apple is firing more than 600 employees in California, which is their first big round of job cuts after the pandemic, as part of a trend of tech companies consolidating.
Apple told 614 workers in different offices on March 28th that they were losing their jobs. The layoffs will start on May 27th, as reported to regional authorities.
Apple fire 600 employees- Employees were let go from eight offices in Santa Clara, as reported under the state’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN). However, it’s not known which departments or projects these employees were working on.
Apple didn’t answer a comment request when asked on Friday morning.
Apple fire 600 employees- While many other tech companies reduced their number of workers over the last two years, Apple, based in Cupertino, California, was different. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a big increase in hiring because more people were spending time and money online. Even now, big tech companies are bigger than they were before the pandemic. However, as growth starts to slow down, companies are trying to save money by reducing costs.
In a recent document submitted to the government, Apple mentioned that it has around 161,000 employees who work full-time or equivalent hours.
This week, Amazon said they’re laying off more people, this time in their cloud computing division AWS. Recently, Electronic Arts, a video game company, said they’re cutting about 5% of their workers. Sony is letting go of around 900 employees in its PlayStation department. Cisco Systems is planning to lay off over 4,000 workers. Also, Snap, the company that owns Snapchat, is cutting 10% of its workers worldwide.
