IPL 2024 Highlights RR vs RCB
IPL 2024:– On Saturday, Jos Buttler made a great comeback by scoring a fantastic century, helping Rajasthan Royals beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets.
Buttler’s century was better than Kohli’s from the first innings, and the Royals easily chased the 184-run target. This win suggests tougher times ahead for RCB in the tournament.
Virat Kohli scored an excellent century for Royal Challengers Bangalore, helping them reach a tough score of 183/3 in 20 overs.
Kohli’s unbeaten 113 runs came on a difficult pitch, making him the first player to achieve a century this season. He was the main performer in batting, with only Faf du Plessis making a significant contribution of 44 runs.
IPL 2024:– Fans should remember that Jaipur is where Virat Kohli played one of his best innings, scoring an unbeaten 100 runs in 52 balls against Australia in a famous ODI match in 2013. However, in the IPL, he hasn’t even scored a half-century here and has an average of 21.28 while scoring at a slower pace. Kohli’s matchup against Sandeep Sharma will be interesting for fans.
In 15 IPL matches, Kohli has scored 87 runs off 67 balls from Sandeep and has been dismissed seven times. Sandeep has dismissed Kohli more times than any other bowler, with Ashish Nehra coming in second with six dismissals. RCB captain Faf du Plessis urged his team to improve their batting performance, saying, “We need two players to stay on the pitch and build a partnership, which we haven’t been able to do. We need strong players in the dressing room to step up.”
IPL 2024:- Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have had a fantastic start to their season. Even though Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal haven’t performed well yet, Riyan Parag has impressed the RR fans. The player from Assam has been outstanding for his team this season and is now their number four batsman.
All eyes will once again be on Buttler, who hasn’t scored much in his last six IPL innings, with his highest being just 13 runs in the previous match. He ended the last season with three consecutive ducks and hasn’t done well this season either. Talking about his batting approach, Parag said, “I haven’t changed much, just simplified things. Before, I used to overthink, but this year, my goal is simple: watch the ball, hit the ball.”
IPL 2024:– RCB is still struggling to figure out their bowling plan. Leaving out Vyshak Kumar in their last match was a mistake, and it cost them the game against Lucknow Super Giants.
Mohammed Siraj hasn’t been performing well, and Mayank Dagar hasn’t been steady either. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals’ bowling has been excellent this season. Trent Boult has been leading the pace attack smoothly, and he’s been supported well by spinners R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.
